San Anselmo Arts Commission

The new kid on the block in the Art Walk milieu is San Anselmo. With 14 venues and growing in just one year, the San Anselmo Arts Commission-sponsored event is every Third Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and hosts most venues along picturesque San Anselmo Avenue and adjacent Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Like it’s sister cities/towns, San Anselmo’s venues cover the spectrum from galleries to coffee shops. 

The San Anselmo Avenue stroll includes Studio Home, The San Anselmo Inn, Ross Valley Winery, Kohn and Jones Gallery, City Hall, Coffee Roasters, and Ezra Katz’s Gallery North. Cross over to Sir Francis Drake at the hub and hit Greenfield Avenue with Green Fusion Design Center, CFA Gallery, Zaruba, and Greenfield Gallery. Then back to S. F. Drake and Ted’s Restaurant, Simply Elegant, and Merchant Chapman Realtor’s a bit further along the way. If future bookings are any indication of success, the Arts Commission is on a roll. Ross Valley Winery owner Paul Krieder’s venue is booked through January 2007.
