Mill Valley Arts Commission
If it’s the First Tuesday of the month, it must be Mill
Valley.
Mill Valley is the originator of the Art Walk concept in
Marin, which began here nearly two decades ago. Every First Tuesday of the month
marks a new Art Walk debut for exhibits featuring local artists at some of Mill
Valley’s favorite local spots, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Blithdale and
Throckmorton are key sauntering spots, with nearly 20 businesses and galleries
participating. Blithdale’s offerings include At the Top, Shoe Envy, Frank Howard
Allen Realtors, and Artisans. Throckmorton presents Eclexion, The Depot
Bookstore and Café, Throckmorton Theatre, Robert Green Fine Arts, Dimitroff’s,
and a bit further away, the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts.
The City Hall Council
Chambers hosts artists’ work, as does the Community Center, with additional
participating venues including The Barefoot Art Gallery @ the Mail Suite on
Sunnyside, Pacific Union Realty on Miller, and Starbucks Tam Junction on
Shoreline.
The Mill Valley Arts Commission is the driving force behind this
long-running, successful staging.
